Firstly, I would like to say a big thank you to ACarRental, especially to Ivar who handled the entire car rental process. His service is impeccable and professionalism unmatched. This is by far the best car rental company that we have encountered thus far, even better than the big companies out there. We were on a family trip in Iceland for a week in March (Winter) and Ivar sent us an email before we reach Iceland to coordinate our pickup from the airport / hotel (which is unheard of by any car rental company that we have engaged) which is a major plus point. Secondly, he went through the procedures with us and guided us through the process should anything happen during our trip (emergency numbers, websites for road conditions, even gave us his personal number for urgent matters). Lastly, on the day that we left Iceland, after returning the vehicle, he offered to send us to the airport so that we wouldn’t have to book our own transport. Great car, great service, warm welcoming with tips for driving around Iceland. ‘A Car Rental’ was there 5 min after our call on arrival and pick us up to our rental car 5 min away from airport. He also were ready to bring us back when we came back with the car one week later.

Can’t recommend A Car Rental enough. Ivar is fantastic, his cars are well cared for and in top shape and he was available in every way we could need. Take it from someone who goes to Iceland a lot and has rented from several different local shops and global chains, A Car Rental is where I’ll be going from now on.
Ivar came to pick us up at the airport at the agreed time. Very nice and attentive. He explained the basic operation of the vehicle. Car is in very good condition, practically new. If we return, we already have someone to rent the car with. Happy to agree on the time to leave the car and take us to the airport. The car rental is outside the terminal, but a few kilometers away.

Hiring the car was seamless, it was delivered to our hotel and we were met at the airport short stay car park where the car was collected – great service. Car was in really good condition, drove well and was spotlessly clean. Just don`t order the map!
